Hello , all of you
I'm still looking for a different bow , from my Chek-mate "firebird " and the Bear " Grizzly " the only bows i ever shoot . I
found last night a Robertson " Vision Falcon IV " SRV ( 58 " #57 @27), should get one for a try .
What could you tell me about those bows ? which aluminum arrows set up should i use for a 27 " draw lenght ?.
Thanks and Happy Holiday ,
Eric .

I've tried a bunch of bows, and for me at least the Vision Falcon is the best shooting recurve I have.  Smooth draw, quiet, quick, and it just seems to shoot where I look as good as or better than any other recurve.

I can't help you on the aluminum arrow selection.  I shoot Carbonwood 4000's and Gold Tip 55/75 out of mine.  ((57# @ 29")

Is the one you are looking at used?  If so, if the price is right it wouldn't cost much at all to try it.  You could always resell it and recover your money.  There is a good market for the Robertsons.  But my guess is that you won't have to worry about that anyway.

Well, I pick up a Robertson longbow from the post office today. Thanks for the reminder!!

I have 2 Vision Falcons and love them. I had Dick take the grip a bit as I found it too wide. A very sweet shooting recurve and it seems to tolerate a wide range of spines for me. I can't tell you about aluminum but I draw 24-25 and shoot 28" wood spined 50-55 for a 55 @ 24 recurve.

I have a couple of the VF IV's which I picked up used on the classifieds.  Both are very handsome and perform the way they should.  Great bows!!!

Eric,
I've found all the Vision Falcons to be VERY tolerant of a wide range of spines. Although my preference is woods, my shooting partner has tried just about everything imaginable. 2216's and 2117's worked very well. This is from 52# to 62# at your draw length. Good luck!

I have done all of my best bowhunting with Robertson bows, they can't be beat in my mind.  They are cut 3/8ths past center so they will shoot a wide range of spine weights.  I have a 29 inch draw and arrows 15# heavier than the bow weight work for me.  If you only draw 27 inches I would start at 10# heavier and go from there.  What size that is in aluminium I don't know but there are spine charts on this site I believe.  You won't be dissapointed!    Joseph

I just ordered a vision radiused purist from Dick for my son, combination Christmas and birthday present.  He'll be 27 this year.
