stayed in this morning as i have a kazillion things to do this morning. took the dogs to get coffee and drove around the local hunting area. saw lots of orange invaders and heard a few shots. however the good news is there is no one but me allowed on 10 acres just opposite of the war zone! myself, Bowspirit and Adirondackman will try to make meat later today. i would bet the deer that are not in the thick stuff yet will be heading to this area and the is allready 2 nice bucks there. good luck to all!

Ken...our bow season goes out the second Saturday in November and doesn't come back until the day after Christmas.  We can hunt gun season of course and that comes in the Monday after Thanksgiving.   Good luck.

      that does not make sense, you can hunt with rifle but not bow??? we could gun hunt today where we are going but i prefer bow and it is a small patch of woods.

Bows are still a leagle option during PA gun season.  I,ll be toting my BW.

I went out with a gun this morning, filled one tag. Now it's my longbow the rest of the season, I'm bringing broadheads and blunts, anything goes. After hunting with a longbow gun hunting just doesn't float my boat anymore.

We cant' bow hunt during shotgun season either, besides it wouldnt be safe! Those guys drive deer with 5 or six gunners! The slugs are flying everywhere.

We can bow hunt all through the gun season as long as we have a valid gun tag and wear hunter orange.  I had a nice buck come in to 10 yards this morning (no good shot angle) and a nice doe at 15 yards last night.  Gun hunters on the ground is no reason to mothball the bow, as long as you are safe.

In Michigan the Firearm Deer Season Opener was call, The Million Man March well before Farracan thought about it. Also The Orange Army and as called "The Largest Armed Group af men in the Western World." Just in Michigan 1,000,000 people hit the woods at this time of year. US wide It is over 5,000,000 last I read it. Wouldn't it be a comedy of errors if a foreign power invaded the USA on the First Day of "gun season"?
