The city I work for wants the parks & rec department to hold an archery class and is looking for equipment. The people that handle getting the equipment dont have a clue and called me for info. They know they want recurves or longbows 48" to 54" that will handle up to a 26" draw.As for weight I would think high #20's to high 30's.Eight RH and four LH.They will also need arrows,tabs/gloves,armgaurds,targets,backstops....the whole setup. They have a limited buget but I would like to see them get the best they can for the money they have.I know we have sponsors here that make most of this stuff. Can anyone help with suggestions that has been involved with this kind of thing.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Stephen

Depending on the age of the kids, I would look into those all fiberglass longbows...those things are darn near bullet proof, and can get some decent poundage as well as have a shelf.

Oh yeah and cheap

Contact Nick Dedacker at Compton's.  They provide equipment for programs like that.  You may also want to contact the NAA and get certified to teach archery.  Along with membership (as a certified instructor) you also get a pretty good amound of insurance, just in case!
