Absolutely right, before heading to the deer woods,we should know all about it.This book is excellent.

Not getting very many 'amens'.    :(

I think that research and study would greatly increase success rates of finding animals....and one tip could find your trophy of a lifetime.  No need to learn from your mistakes if you can learn something that will capitalize on them.

I'm going to re-read this book every year as a refresher.

Amen.  I have not read the book but I plan on getting it.  I think I know what to do, but if I can pick up just one thing that would help me find one deer in my life its worth it.

Try this title "Finding Wounded Deer by John Trout JR."  I think this is the book.

Yep great book! Definitely would be a good yearly refresher, at least the quick reference at the end of it.

Finding Wounded Deer is a good read. For those who have read the book what do you think about the Authors Ideas on waiting only a short period of time and pushing Deer with single lung or muscle hits? It seems logical that keeping the deer moving may keep the wound open and increase chances of recovery but this also seems to be different then the way the majority of bowhunters handle these type of hits.

I could have used some of the information in that book last week. I searched my house and found my copy. I have to agree with Terry that reading it prior to every season would be a very good habit. It may have changed the outcome of my Nebraska hunt.
