Don, your article in TBH about the "Slam" was much needed. Well done. We shouldn't take ourselves so seriously.
However, you left out one. I would like to nominate the lowly Woodchuck, AKA groundhog. Hard to stalk within bow range, tough, and good eating!

you mean the infamous...gulp... GROUND GRIZZLY?   :scared:

Don wrote an excellent article.  I can just imagine the fun and laughs one would have pursuing such a 'slam' - especially when enjoyed in the company of good friends and family.

I enjoyed Nanthan's interview with Rick Dugan - what an accompishment!  Congratulations Rick!

I think you could add carp and gar to the list as well.

Don and Lori were hunting with me a few years ago when Lori achieved her first Florida Trash Slam-armadillo, raccoon and possum. The possum was mounted and hangs proudly in their trophy room. The hunt was fun but the look on Don's face when Lori made him skin the possum was, as they say, priceless

Pretty darn good issue again.
A thread on another site suggested this was a dog-issue. It hit my mailbox yesterday and I can't put it down, 'cept when work gets in the way...
The older I get, the better I was.

Benny Nganabbarru

Yeah, I really like this issue, too! It's a good one!

I like it to Tilbilly.  Some folks would bitch about a free meal.

Tilbilly - I love your "older" quote! Baby Boomers rule! And Don Thomas is the gen-u-wine article! dave

T. Downing

Yeah I particularly enjoyed this issue of TBM. I especially appreciated Don Thomas' article on the Blue Collar Super Slam. Makes complete sense. I am an advocate of our nation's public lands, thus,  Don Thomas' piece touches a nerve. Dave, I understand you have a new book out, "A Man Made of Elk", Bravo, can't wait to get it! T
