That I made a choice on what bow to shoot from now right thru hunting season. Any 3/D, stumping or hunting will be done with a 64" Holm Made Goshawk dual shelf R/D longbow. Specs are 44# @ 29" with 45/60 Carbon Express 200 gr. up front with a 2 blade broadhead. Magnus, Ace, Deltas or something similar. Anyone else getting dialed in for the hunt season........???

And in the morning the ladder stand will be set up in a spot that I hope will be productive...lol!!

Ive been shooting nothing but broadheads (Zwickey Deltas) out of my hunting rig for almost a month now. I'm ready!  :)

I'm pretty much ready. I'll be shooting the same old Bear Kodiak Hunter 50 @ 28 that I have used for several years. It is equipped with a Thunderhorn strap on quiver loaded up with Gold Tip Trad 500's cut to 29" with sharp 200 grain Zwickey Eskimo's/steel adapters. I was shooting the other evening when a possum made the mistake of trotting across the back yard. At 32 yards the Gold tip did its business. That arrow stinks so bad that I can't bring it in the house. lol

Yup I'll be toting a javaman Assyrian 44 @ 31 goldtip trads with 165 landsharks can't wait !

I thought I was ready bow wise until I bought a toelke Chinook! I haven't received it yet but am anxious to get it tuned and see if it will be my go to for deer season!

I'm down to two bows for elk season, which for me starts in about three weeks.  Have another 3 or 4 bows I'll use for deer after that, dropping down in weight as the season progresses and the temps get colder.

I've been rebuilding my house...

But I'll be down at OxTAR next week-end to start getting ready.  Been way, way too long...    :archer2:     Good to hear you have decided what set up to use this fall, Ron.

I'll be using my Kodiak T/D that I bought a couple years ago. It's the only bow I'll be using untill they spread my ashes on the mountain. I figure I waited 40 years to get it, I've go a lot of years to make up!
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

Go get em Ron. Best wishes for a safe and successful season

Season opens this weekend here.  I'll let things calm down from that & then spend a few days camped along a quiet creek.

Good luck Ron.  Season opens here mid September but I have not shot my bow since june. also have not set up stands yet.  I have however opened up a trail, and hopefully by winter will have this house ready to live in.  I will be using my Big Jim Thunderchild as it is already set up to go.  Now that  I have an indoor range in the barn, I can shoot whenever. soon I will have electric and plumbing out there so I can shoot at night and get refreshing drinks of well water to boot lol.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

I'm right there with you, Ron. My set up is 43# at 29" -- a Centaur. I have two different arrows dialed in, a 10 gpp with woodsman 3-blades up front for deer and a 12 gpp with single-bevel 2-blades for hogs. Both arrows are high FOC.

I will have 5 tree stands set up. Deer season opens here in early Sept, but I might wait until the very end of the month to hunt.
