I have 18 , 2317 aluminum arrows that are full length .
I've tried to get rid of them for about a year . Guess no one shoots that heavy of spine anymore .
So , what could I do with them ?
I thought about making blow guns or wind chimes .
Hope someone has a better idea , and I do mean something a little better than a tomato steak .

Make flu-flus out of them.  They will work fine.

Are you willing to give up what you are; to become what you could be?

I was in sort of the same boat a few years back, and my club had a swap meet.  I put out a few dozen higher spine arrows, 2216's, etc, in more or less perfect shape, for something like $5/dozen.  Not only would nobody buy any of them, but nobody wanted to swap anything for them either.  Finally, at the end of the meet, another member who was involved with the Boy Scouts said he thought they could use them in their archery program, so I donated them to the Boy Scouts.  I almost feel guilty about doing that, because I wonder if I was doing them a favor by giving them 2216's to shoot in whatever kind of bow they were shooting.  Almost, but not quite.

they might be good for people double footing carbons?

If that's all I had from the "old days" I would be a happy camper. I did find a person looking for 2219 for his cross.... I made a trade. 2doz raw AO shafts for like shafts but in a size I can use. My wife's old aluminum I am passing on for kids arrows. But to honest chopping them up (about 10 doz.) and taking them to recycle appealed to me as well.

I use up all kinds of old arrows for stump shooting.  If they shoot well enough out of a bow for 10 or 15 yard shots where physical weight doesn't mean much, that's good enough for me for stumpin'.

I made 2 dozen flu flus out of 2219s and they flew great for stumping. That's what I'd due with them

try selling them to a compound shooter. some of them still use aluminums and those would be good for common weight bows

Take one or two and make an arrow finding rake.
I shoot aluminum and actually foot my 2016s with 2117s - I cut the footing to 2.5" and put the insert in the 2215 I cut my 2016 .75" shorter then desired the insert in the 2215 acts as a stop. I use these for stumping with judo. They are pretty much bullet proof.

One additional idea. If you take a camera afield you can make a mono pod for taking self timer photos. Take a 24" piece of arrow, epoxy a .25" threaded (standard tripod mount thread size on all cameras) screw with head cut off in one side. Add a wing nut to snug to the base of the camera. Keep and insert and field point in the other side. Works great.
