I like natural blinds and find them much more comfortable than the tent blinds.  They're fairly easy to set up and work quite well.  I shot a couple deer one season from this bit of cover.

Good judgement comes from experience.  Experience comes from bad judgement.

With a length of green parachute cord and a trucker's hitch you can make a small cedar do anything you want, and it will stay green all season.  If you want to sit between two that can be reached with your parachute cord, it is quite easy to bring them closer together.

I do not like pop ups! I use natural blow downs and timbered tree tops. I prefer backing up to a tree and brushing in at least knee high to hide movement. I was setting against a big oak last year and had a bobcat at around twelve yards. I held still and walked right on by unaware of my presence. Back cover is critical along with movement. A lot of times my problem is getting to close, but man, what a rush!

Read Ryan Gill's article in the newest Primitive Archer Magazine. Ryan hunts Florida and Montana, both ground hunting.

I like to use a piece of leafy camo cloth for a base and then stack brush/branches in front of it. More important though is what's behind me. I have taken deer with no blind at all just by sitting very still near a trail while leaning against a tree that was wider than me. It's movement that busts you more often than not.
