I have shot skunks before and it wasn't the smartest thing I have ever done lol. Won't be doing it again either.when I shot it it started rolling around and my poor dog tried grabbing it. Wife was not impressed I'll tell you that.

Sounds like a job for a rubber blunt at very close range and up wind .

Yep we sing it a lot this time of year.  Many skunks get pizza'd during this month.

SuperK I enjoyed that!

Late brother-in-law and I hunted them in the late winter early spring forty years ago.  Shoot, mark the area, retrieve arrow in a week. Some sprayed, some didn't. But you always watched the wind!!!  And NO we didn't eat them.

Yep, did the judo and skunk thing a couple times, years apart, of course.  The last one I skinned out with gloves on and dropped into a big Ziploc bag of baking soda.  I took it home (was living in a cheap apartment on the south side of Indy the first year I had my job).  I fleshed and prepped it for tanning on the back deck of the apartment.  Maybe the baking soda helped, but not much.  I figured I was getting the people in the apartment above me back for the constant smell of weed they sent my way.  Got the hide tanned, and moved away from Indy. The skunk hide is still on the wall here in my trophy room. Got some cool stories about the cheap apartment in Beech Grove, too.

With this time of year being skunk breeding season we get lots of roadkilled skunks around here... wife says "It smells like skunky love outside."
