I thought I'd share this idea with people who carry a digital camera while scouting/hunting.

It's very easily made out of aluminum arrow shafts.  Find 2 different size shafts, one that fits snugly inside the other.  Cut a 2 or 3" piece from the smaller shaft and add duct tape to improve the fit.  Superglue all of the smaller shaft inside the larger shaft, leaving about an inch of the smaller shaft exposed.  Make the length of the larger shaft about 12" long.  On the other end of the larger shaft, glue in an insert and put a field point it.  This lets you push one end into the dirt.  On another piece of the larger shaft, epoxy the head of a tripod onto the end.  Slide the other end of that piece of larger shaft over the smaller insert sticking in the ground.  That's it!! I now have a 2 piece 24" light weight holder for my camera when I want a picture with me in it.

Good idea! I just bought a little flexible leg tripod off of amazon for under $10 that works great to hold my phone. It also came with a remote control so I don't have to do the delay and run to get in the picture before the camera goes off.

I just ran across this today.  Seems like a good deal for $12.95.  Same idea as selfbow19953's, except you mount it on an existing arrow:

- Hill Halfbreed ASL, 66", 45# @ 27"

- Cabela's Warden 62" recurves:
-- 40# @ 28"
-- 50# @ 28"

Bisch can you tell us more about your set up?

That's a pretty neat idea for a monopod. Great ingenuity.

I've got 3 of those "Hero Shot" adapters.  Bought them after stacking up Cow Pies to get a better picture of my Mule Deer and I.  Swore I would never do that again, and thanks to this product, I won't have to.

I have the flexible tripod for phone too. It works well. I don't have the remote though. That would be real nice. I do the 10 second delay and RUN!,

For any of you camera buffs, I have a new-in-box Alaskalife ThrillPro selfie stick that I won...never opened.  It is supposed to adapt to cameras and smartphones.  I'm definitely not a technoweenie and will never use it.  If you need it PM me and we can work out some kind of swap.
