Hey Guys,

IM new to trad archery and just bought a slick stick. Im looking to get some arrows but not sure what to start out with. the bow is 45# @28 and my draw length is 29. I plan on using it for both targets and hunting (Mainly Deer). I was thinking of either the easton axis tradtional 500 or 600's or the gold tip traditional 500's. Any help you guys could give would be greatly appreicated.

Go with the 500s or 2016s.  That should get you close.

Rough Run

I would say 500s if you go with carbon.  2016s may be a little stiff, unless you go heavy on the points.  1916s with 125gr may work out better.

Thanks guys im going to try out the gold tip 500s ill leave them full length and order the field point test kit with them also. It is all new to me like i said but im loving the longbow so far. right now im shooting some old 2216's out of it and it is actually working out well but im down to three arrows so i need to restock.

Congrats on your new slick stick! I have been shooting one going on two years now with the same specs as yours. I draw just a tad shy of 28". I have different arrows set up for it but it shoots them all very well with just a little difference in trajectory. The gt trad 3555's are cut to 30.25 with a 200 grain point. The gt trad 1535's are full length with 145 grain points. And the Easton aviators are full length with 145gr points. I shoot two fletch on all these and have zero problems. Maybe this will give you something to think on or help you decide a starting point for your new arrows. I really like the 600 spine arrows from this bow better however the Easton aviator shafts are pretty light weight. They still penetrate good for me but some would consider them a little light for deer. Which you could add some weight if you wished. They've held up well and are even cheaper than the trad blems. You can't go wrong with either of the two. Even with your inch longer draw than mine you should be very close spine wise to me. Probably just a little lighter point weight difference on your end.
