I am looking for a good pair of leather boots, I have settled on the Danner Ft Lewis boots, there isn't a store close by where I can try them on first, so I have to order them online. My question to you guys who may have a pair of these boots is this, Do they fit true to size? I wear an 11-1/2 EE, can anyone give me an idea of the fit on a pair of Danner Ft Lewis boots?

I'd go a half size bigger.  I wear a 13D and they fit too snug even after being broken in.   A rugged boot for sure. Gave them to my Grandson who wears an 11 1/2.  Fit him perfect with heavier socks.  I'm sure there is a return policy after buying. You might call first to ask.

I have a pair I bought in 1997. I went a half size larger as well. Only because I knew I would be wearing heavy socks and or two pairs of socks. Great boots, had a leak after 10 years in the tongue area. Got them fixed for cost of shipping. That pair lives in PA. at my son's home. I bought a pair of the USMC approved Danner's I wear now. These are also a half size larger.

I went my normal 11, but I have never had trouble with any 11, I think I have about the model foot.  That was with the shorter version of the Ft. Lewis, whatever, they call that.  Keep in mind they take a while to break in.  Shop around, prices vary widely.

Look at Danner's website and find a retailer. They may also give advice on size/fit. I do not have that particular boot but have another in size 10 which is my standard size and wear it with a light wicking sock and one medium weight.

Wish mine was a half size bigger, the toe area has never stretched out.
