Occasionally I get string rash on my cheek from shooting a lot.  I'm not sure if it's from the string or the nocks.  I stopped using brass nocks a long time ago, but the way tied-on nocks stick out, I wouldn't be surprised if it is from them.  The way your tape nocks are flat and smooth, I would imagine there would be less likliehood of abrasion on the face.  I may try them for that reason.

Technology....the knack of arranging the world so that we don't have to experience it.

Didn't like the brass squeeze on nock points either. Initially changed to tie on nocks, but  I've been using 3/4-inch masking tape for years to form two nock points.  Four tight wraps around the string. I don't treat them with anything.  They don't move and last quite a long time, and only takes a few minutes to replace when they do start to wear.

A very useful feature when I switch from skinny carbons to thicker wood arrows and have to change nock point height.

In the past I've used masking tape layered with Duco cement. It makes a great long lasting nocking point.

I like the looks of yours too. Very neat and I can see how it would be tough.

Very neat and smooth. Thanks for sharing. May try your technique for my next string instead of the tie on that I have been using.

Good idea.  I definitely like these over brass nocks.
