I'm looking to get some aluminum arrows for each of two bows.  Any help with size of shaft here would be much appreciated.  Here are the specs:
Bow #1
63" mild r/d longbow
57#@27"
6.5" brace height
Shelf cut to 1/16" from center, built out to 1/8"
B-50 string

Bow #2
66" selfbow
66#@27"
6" brace height
No shelf cut in
B-50 string

I would like to shoot for a finished length around 27-27.5" to back of point on both setups.  Also, I'd like to point weight them with about 250 grains.  Thanks for the help, Matt

Hard to say with the 250 grain tips, but 2020's or 2117's might work for both.

I think a 2018 or 2020 would be a good place to start.  You will need a little bit weaker arrow not being cut to center but with 250 grains up front that will weaken it abit.

Thanks for the info fellas.  I think I'll start out with the 2018s.  I appreciate it. Cheers, Matt

if you want to point them at 250 you will need some  stiffer shafts...2219 and 2315 will be great for the 66# one..2020 and 2117 for the 57# one...the 2117 should done both of them

What do you guys think if I go with a point weight of 125 grains? What size shaft should I go with?  Thanks, Matt

2018 or 2016 should work well out of both with 125 grains up front.
