Hello all.  I have found a used Hoyt buffalo that says it's 40@28".  My question is to you that own/have owned the buffalo. Is that 40lbs with the limbs bottomed out?  Or will I gain a couple pounds with the limbs bottomed out.   I want to be 40-41lbs at my 27" draw length.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Wes

That'll be with the limbs bottomed out

You will gain roughly 2 lbs with the limbs bottomed out at a 28" draw. My 55# Buffalo weighs in at about 57 with limb bolts maxed.

Most I have scaled will weigh 3 pounds over the marked weight with the limb bolts bottomed out. Just be sure to back the top bolt off about 1/4 of a turn if you shoot split finger.

I thought Hoyt rated their limbs at mid range of the adjustment bolts. Of course limb pad angle has a lot to do with it.
