Java Man Bow owners

looking for some opinions on characteristics of some of the Java Man Bows . Hoping to here from some guys who've owned and shot them.
Trying to decide on a model to order. Got a 29.5 inch draw and like performance. Considering a 2piece in the Elkhart, Falcon or Assyrian 58 or 60 inch.

I had a 60" Assyrian recurve a few years ago that a Trad Ganger here now owns. It was fast, quiet and had the best grip ergonomics I've experienced so far. I draw 30" and it was fine with that, didn't stack at all.  I ended up having to go down in weight.

I can only vouch for the Elkheart. Once I shot it I never felt the need to shoot anything else.  I have several 58 inchers and 56. Both lengths are silky smooth for my 30" draw. For me they are the perfect hunting tool and beautiful to look at.

i had both the elkheart and the assyrian and there both sweet but to answer your question get a assyrian you will not regret it !!

I got an Elkheart  Friday from Greg(10 1/2 month wait)but well worth .
Can tell you what times I have shot it its a super smooth shooting bow that's a work of art...

I had a 58" Falcon, only sold it because I had to. Performance, fit, and workmanship were all outstanding. Very fast, beautiful, and pointable.
The grip was the most natural and repeatable that I've had to date.
Gregg is also a pleasure to deal with.

With your draw, I'd go for the 60" in a Falcon (possibly longer, depending on your personal preferences).

I have a 58" 60#@28"super shrew built by Gregg. I pull 29" it is very smooth and fast. Last year the deer I shot was at 25 yards broad side using MFX 340 tipped with 3 blade 150 grain woodsman and 100 grain insert the arrow didn't slow down, complete pass through. You can't go wrong with the Javaman bows.

I have a 54" Elk Heart. I draw only 28", but I can drzw it back behind my ear, which must be at least 30". I would think a 56" or 58" would work fine for you. Greg would be the ultimate source of answers for that question. He knows his bows and certainly does not want any unsatisfied customers.

I've had an Elkheart for about a year. I've owned other "similar"/Shrew-style (if you will) forward handle short-longbows, here's my observations:
- Gregg's handles fit like a glove, I don't even have to think about hand placement and if I'm concentrating on a spot I'm hitting it.
- Gregg's limb configurations far out-perform my other bows of similar design. I am (gratefully as I age) able to shoot a smoother-drawing bow of less poundage with the same performance as my heavier bows.
- Gregg is an exceedingly "available" bowyer, willing to field many questions and give honest observations & advise when designing a bow. I learned a lot in speaking with Gregg including the fact that he never once tried to up-sell me on options I would not need or appreciate.

I am looking forward to having a second/backup bow built by Java Man Archery soon...

I shot Greggs entire line-up last year at Kalamazoo. Each bow I picked up shot amazingly well. I love the forward handle design. Ended up ordering an Assyrian, hopefully my number is coming up soon. I have spoken to Gregg many times since ordering my bow and he is always quick to reply to emails and always very helpful.

I have owned a couple of Gregg's bows, and have had the pleasure of shooting several models. I currently own a falcon and absolutely love it, its very similar to the Elkheart, but is more suiting to my longer draw. I wrote a little review of it about 2 weeks ago. Gregg's customer service is second to none, he treats you like family and makes sure you are a happy archer at the end of the day.
