Is anyone else excited for Saturday? (Kentucky Opening Day)

Every year as deer season approaches I start feeling like a kid on December 24th. It's going to be warm Saturday, but I'll be out there all day trying to get one (or a couple) to start the season off right. Will anyone else hunting Saturday?

I am super excited! Have several good bucks on camera...and looking foward to finally getting some tree time after a long 7 month wait.

I'm fired up! Stands set, good bucks on cam, been shooting regularly and better than ever. Been sharpening broadheads, loaded cooler in truck in faith, freezing 2liter bottles for cooler, if I get one I don't want any meat spoiling in this heat! I have even been shooting from a stand, got my pack loaded, getting clothing washed, etc.. You get the picture! Don't forget to have some of these in your arsenal...

I'll miss opener for the first time in many years. I have to go to Clarksville, TN. Son-in-law in Iraq and our daughter and grand children need our support.

Hunting KY as a non-resident is on my bucket list. Not this year though as I'm heading to Newfoundland in three weeks for moose. Next year is a real possibility. I see where your state has produced some real giants.

Ill be out of town at my daughters field hockey tournament. Good news is that will definitely sew up my father of the year award! Hoping they will scratch off all that nasty velvet by the time I get to the woods on Monday.

I don't know how it is in KY but man if we could start on Sept. 1st here in Illinois there would be a very good chance to kill a really big buck if you knew where he was hanging out. Good luck guys!
