I hope all goes well Mike . I had my right knee done in April of last year and I was in my tree stand October 1st .
About the rehab , do what they say . No more or no less .

Went to see my Dr. last week.......going for a partial on the right side in December......after hunting season! So I'll have 1 1/2 new knees.

Good luck with your surgery. Going to have my hip refurbished Aug 8. Had it replaced 25 years ago when I was 34. I should be good to go by October.

When my bad knee hurt, it hurt fierce!!!  But... but it didn't always hurt.

My replacement knee is always stiff, is "twingy" most of the time but loosens up with activity each day and the pain there is, isn't very strong...

I do not trust it up on the roof like I did my natural one as sometimes it just doesn't "feel right" but it's only 8 months out...

Friend's dad had both and bought a used stationary bike and watched the news in the AM on rising and just peddled thru the news without tension on the bike to "oil them up"...

LOL......I oil them up every morning on a bike at the gym. I watch the news and do 5 miles or 45 minutes, what ever comes first. You have to stay active.

I have a stationary recumbent bike that I bought after knee surgery several years ago so I am good for that part. Biggest issue I have right now is the lower back. Doc says the muscles are in spasm from swinging my legs out and around things to make up for the inability to bend the knee and step over things. Wearing a back brace for most everything requires lifting or bending.

I have no income until my pension starts in September or October and am trying to get my Social Security a year early. Had big plans for my savings once I retired but I am having to use them for necessities now. I am just grateful that I have some savings to use!

You don't realize how much your lower back is involved with shooting a bow until you deal with lower back problems. Have dropped to my lightest bow and hoping for the best!

I had my left knee replaced in late May. Scheduled it after turkey season and so it would be good to go by archery elk season...so far so good! Finished rehab, then they sent me to a lymph edema clinic to deal with swelling in my lower leg and foot.  Have me wearing a compression sock now, but they cancelled the rest of my visits and released me yesterday because of my improvements.

Went up and hung treestands earlier this week for elk season that opens in a month.

Good luck Mike!
