So all of you AL glove shooters... I've needed a glove for a while, mine is a good two years old and the first layer is worn away and I've felt my string come off that lumpy mess weird lately...

I ordered up an AL kangaroo based on everyone's awesome reviews and I seem to be having some growing pains. First, I didn't realize there's some type of firm plastic between the layers of leather. I'm so used to feeling the string that this glove now makes it feel like some time of mechanical release almost, I've got to look down when grabbing the string to make sure I'm in the right spot and not pinching the nock. This has been weird, but I can see that the string really does just slide off effortlessly although it's almost a surprise.

Second is when the shot goes off, I get a burning pain on the outside edges of my fingers... I tracked it down to the sticking inside the glove fingers. I can't get more than 12 shots off without just switching back to my old glove... Pain goes away.

Any thoughts?

Not "*sticking inside" but the *stitching inside the fingers.

I think it's a well made glove but some shooters like thick stalls and some like them thin.  I think it's what you get used to.  The kangaroo glove is thinner than I like and and after a lot of shooting, my fingers get a little sore.  I have had no problems with stitching.

I haven't the AL Kangaroo,but I do have an AL Full Shot. I didn't care for the inserts in the glove either; I opened up the stitching and removed 'em. Never had any issue with the stitching, the glove fits great with no discomfort.

I had mine over a year now. I have no issues with it. May I ask, is it a tight fit on your fingers? Mine is, that is way I wanted the fingers to fit so they do not roll with the shot. I shoot 55-60# and have no problems feeling the string. Maybe because I came from a heavy tab and their Bigshot glove.
What size is it?

I got one. Everyone loves them so I figured I am missing out. Dang thing was so awkward with those finger inserts I  couldn't tell you where the arrow would go. I still have it somewhere, I should try it again. Good idea to open the sticking and take the inserts out!!

I use the Kangaroo Krossover glove, and it hurt my fingers at first too.  But after a few days of shooting, I got used to it and now it doesn't hurt at all... zilch.  I'm glad I stuck with it, because I really like the glove.

My fingers get sore too from shooting with my AL kangaroo crossover. Starts happening somewhere about 100 shots......

I have been shooting with a bison crossover for about a year now. It is the finest glove I've ever used. I suggest you shoot it more as you may need to acclimate to the different feel. I would be surprised if after a month or so of shooting you wasn't pleased.

Has anybody shot both the bison crossover and the kangaroo crossover? The bison one is the finest glove I've ever shot, and I actually really like the nylon inserts being on the inside. Just wondered if there was an appreciable difference with the kangaroo leather.

I own 3 bison crossovers so I can rotate through them on long hunts in rainy seasons. I think I'm over 4 years on them and I do like the stalls due to sometimes shooting bows up to the 100 pound mark. My lightest bow is 64# (that I also shoot the most) and I don't mind the well broken in stalls at that weight. In my mind, the perfect glove for me.

I did buy a Krossover based on what I read here and it is a VERY well made glove. That said it is thinner and even with stalls I did feel even my 64# bow's string quite a bit more. After a few hundred shots I sold it. If I shot less weight, or less than 100 arrows a night I think it would be perfect for me. If I move down in weight I'll probably come back to it.

I think that's the type of feedback you were asking for.

What size is it?

It's nice and snug, it's a large. I don't think it rolls at all. I'm shooting 60# but then again I'm used to my super thin glove.

Yeah I have no problems flying 100 arrows with my super thin glove    this literally has a feeling of my skin ripping apart inside the glove. It's weird, the pain is right where the stitching is.

That's good to know. I think I may do the same unless they'll let me return it

thanks! just what i was wondering. i actually like the thickness of the bison one. most of my bows are low 50s, but the bison does great for me. just tempted by the kangaroo, but if it ain't broke...

I have both of these. For light bows under fifty pounds I like the thinness of the kangaroo. Bows over the fifty pounds i use the buffalo.

I must admit....my bows are all around the 45lb mark. Maybe thats why I like the roo.

I bet you get a good release as that kangaroo felt very slick to me, and at that weight I bet it will last a very long time.

If you don't mind, how long would you say it took to break in those stalls for you? Mine always break in quickly, but I've always wondered if weight had something to do with it.

It took no time at all to break in. By my second day shooting with it,  it was already broken in.
