I dont worry about masking my face. I been getting close to deer for years now without anything on my face but perhaps my stubble whiskers. On the ground, 5 yards and they dont notice my face. Turkeys, yes I use a mask most times...Deer, I just dont need it, unless bitter cold drives me to wear something, and then its for my comfort, not for the deers eyes.

The onlyest problem with face paint (ask me how I know this) is when you are young and not so wise, and you put on a great painted face at home, then stop in at the Mister Donut for a coffee and donuts to go for the drive to the woods......

or at least bring a cam-corder to record responses.

Yesterday I tried the lighter and cork trick, that worked like a charm.

burnt cork - carry couple wipes with ya so no funny looks at the gas station.

When/IF it gets cold I will go to some sort of balaclava style full head mask - kuiu or first lite - just something keep my bald head and ears warm.
Always be stubborn.

Captain hindsight to the rescue!

Homemade deerskin mask. I've worn them so long I feel naked without it. Does not interfere with anchor.
