I have two whip tied nock points on my 58" recurve, drawing to 29", shooting 3 under.  I have just a little bit of wiggle room for the arrow in between the nock points.  I was wondering if you guys like the arrow snug in between nocking points or if a little space is desired.

I like a little space in between.

When you draw the bow, the wiggle room usually goes away centering your nock where it belongs.

I like mine nug but not pinching.

You'll know if you don't leave enough wiggle room, because over time, either the arrow nock will force your tied on string nocks apart, leaving gaps in the serving, or else it will force its way over the string nocks, and you'll see wear on both the top and bottom string nocks.

I don't know of any direct way of telling if you have too much of a gap.  Aim for just enough gap so you don't get the symptoms noted above.

Thanks for the responses.  I probably have about a 1/16" space or a touch more.  Bow is shooting pretty good, Just wondered if it was something to think about.

Thanks, James
