Ames burlap bag targets?

Ames burlap bag targets anybody use them?Just ordered 3 new ones.I use the poly bags that my coal comes in to stuff them with,Win for me.I don,t have to worry about using plastic shopping bags,works better.

I love the Ames Pillow targets...

I had to go straight to t he factory. The lady who owns it told me they lost their print press operator that printed the faces on burlap to make t he targets and bags...so was what was on hand only.

Where did you order them, if I may inquire?

I got shrink wrap from like sears that all skids get wrapped in and fold it up and put in the pillow targets...stops arrows dead!

I was wondering where you order the burlap from also. Our club has always bought from the company but last year we called several times and never was able to place an order.  I called twice this year and the phone number on the web page would never even ring.

it's been a while and I cleaned out my email box, but the woman/owner is very nice.  I looked up the physical address and it is listed on Google as a hardware store and other things...she's got her fingers in several pies.

It took me a while to get thru, but she was incredibly helpful once I got to her... but even this past summer(?) their inventory was very small.

Shame...all for want of a printing press operator to print on burlap...  :(

Neat to know. I had a flat one with a whitetail on it when I was a teen.

An alternative use for a burlap target.  A friend asked me why I always have a 12" by 12" cloth covered pad snapped to my belt.  I told him that sometimes it is just easier to sit on the ground with my back against a tree, especially if there is flat spot and I am planning on shooting down hill.  He wanted to see if I could shoot my 66" bow that way.  We took two pads to my back yard, with me shooting left hand and him shooting right hand using a tree we practiced at about 17 yards.  That season , one day he forgot his padded camo bucket that he sits on.  He tied a chord to his smaller burlap target. slung it over his shoulder and we headed out.  He said it was easier to carry than his bucket.  He has been sitting on one ever since.
