I know it seems like a long way off right now, but spring is just around the corner. I just bought my first takedown and my wife mentioned taking the harley to shoots. I have some ideas in my head, I'd like to see or hear some of your ideas for hauling bows and arrows on your bikes.

There's a guy around here who does just that with a 1 piece. He uses a pvc tube strapped to his bike

A takedown bow is easy if you have saddle bags and a soft case (like the Kelly). The arrows I would probably bungy to the back of the bike. Haven't actually done it though.

ask Mr LaClair.  He has done it in the past, with flair too !

I use a piece of PVC pipe for longbows.  Strap it to the rear passenger foot peg and sissy bar and good to go.  My takedowns, I put in a Safari Tuff case and strap across my seat to the sissy bar.  I put the arrows in with the bow on the takedown.  Duct tape a separate smaller piece of PVC pipe to the larger one for arrows when I'm carrying a longbow. They would fit inside the larger pipe with the longbow, but the arrows don't get mashed around as much in the smaller pipe, IMO.

Now, if your wife is riding shotgun, it probably means you have a fiberglass compartment behind her seat.  Should be able to strap a take down case to that fairly easily.

My friend in San Diego travels by bike to the big shoots in Cali. He uses a PVC tube for bow and arrows. He has a TD.

With a 2 pc longbow I put the bow in my safari tuff quiver with my arrows, throw it over my shoulder and hop on the bike......and off we go!!
