For those interested, here's a short film about South and his humble beginnings.

It's the first video on the top of this page.

I have South's mule deer DVD.  He seems like a genuine kind of person!

Thanks for sharing!
For we did not follow cleverly contrived myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; instead, we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

I've watched those Gritty Bowman videos on U-tube previously....having hunted mule deer a lot in a completely different environment than where South hunts them there were still lot of similarities.  Great interviews and a lot of good info in there for someone looking to try their hand at spot and stalk mule deer.

I have met South a few times at archery functions like PBS Portland ... very nice guy,and makes some fine bows. I was able to shoot his pass around St Jude bow a few years ago and it was a dandy.

Thanks Gang!

I've known South for a few years and learned a few things after viewing that short film.

I met him a couple years ago and was impressed on how genuine he is. Super nice guy and very talented. Good Thread.

beaunaro

I met him two years ago at Compton's.

We were both vendors.

I took a break from my booth to go over and visit.

Super nice guy.

Very down to earth and genuine.

And what a craftsman.

I shot one of his recurves that a friend had.

The arrow went right where I was looking. WOW!

His grips just fit my hand like a glove.

One day we will talk about which of his bows would be best for me.

His brochures include some of the nicest selections of woods that I have ever seen.
