Nice bow. 6.7 gpi?  Enjoy it while it lasts.
I know 6.8 seems awfully low doesn't it? What amazes me is that indoors while testing, there was no noticeable difference in loudness of the bow. I will probably end up shooting wood arrows out of this bow, not because of the weight and larger gpp figure, but because woodies seem right with it.

  Forgive my question if it's naïve, but are the Bear TDs a static tip recurve?

Now that is a beautifully crafted bow! Always thought I would prefer the rosewood colored version, but now it is a toss up! I don't know what a static tip is. Perhaps someone else will chime in that knows. Thanks for sharing.

MoOse where did you buy it from? I really like the darker almost charcoal like wood with contrasting red stripe and limb tips!  Very nice        makes me take a second look at a Bear.

Thanks guys, it's not a static tip, I got it in December it's a 2015 model. The limb tips have been redone, and made smaller for better performance. I have a video of a friend of mine shooting it who is new to Traditional archery, it's just a few shots but if you folks would like to see it I can upload it and post it on this thread?

I thought I'd add this, since I was new to the TD. This is of course a "B" handle and #3 limbs which should make a 64" bow. I pre-ordered a 61" string and received it before the bow arrived. I strung it up and that's when I realized the 61" was too short. With that string basically untwisted, the brace height was 9" I ordered another string from 60X and like always shipped the very next day. Fastest service ever. I use the bcy x and this time ordered a 61.75" string. That string arrived today, and when strung, the bow braced perfectly at 7.5" the starting brace height recommendation for this model. I thought this might save some folks some time when getting a string for their TD.

I'm not sure if this applies to any TD made before 2015, but this is the magic number for this one.
