New to forum. Just received a new Bear Super Kodiak, and it has a beautiful rosewood/charcoal riser. However, the lower quiver insert is located on a curved surface of the riser instead of a flat surface as is the upper insert. I don't yet have a quiver to mount, but wondering if anyone has seen this. Does it affect the sturdiness of the quiver? Seems like both flat surfaces would be preferred. I noticed on Bear Kodiak take downs that both inserts are on flat surfaces. Guess I thought the risers were the same. Thanks

I have 2 SKs and the insert on one is on a flat area on the lower end of the riser but the other bow has it slightly on a curved area.  To be honest I hadn't even noticed that until I just checked.  hasn't caused any issues.

David M, does your quiver bracket mount ok to the insert on the curved surface? I was wondering if it may mar the wood finish. This is not a huge deal to me because I could use a wrap around quiver I guess. I love the bow otherwise. Thanks

No problems at all, but the slope is not very much where it is mounted.
