3 d targets

any tricks out there in trad world for keeping expensive 3d targets from becoming brittle and dry, thus breaking down. also the birds love to make holes in them under the neck quite often ?

Bring them inside when not shooting or put a tarp over them. A grill cover will work.

Sun is your enemy

I suppose vinyl reconditioner would help

Actually, if want to leave them out year round, you can paint them with exterior flat lattes paint. This may and some cost and work, but the sun will not determinate them as quickly.

I read Armour All helps. I agree,with the others cover it or put in your garage.

Those Flicker woodpeckers love to peck on my aluminum gutters and my 3-D foam.  Obviously they're no Einstein.

I've used Rinehart targets for a long time now. There stand up to the weather very well. I have a deer target that has been shot thousands of times and has lived outside for 9 years now and still looks good and stops every arrow I throw at it.
They are pricier but in my opinion very worth it. I just picked up a new Rinehart buck target on sale at midway usa for less than $80:)
