Since the Z4 has been out a little while and you guy's that own them have them all tuned up and are hunting with them. What do you think. Are they easy to like. Did you use a quiver on the bow. Did you do anything to quiet the bow more than just string silencers. Do you think they are worth the extra money now that you have gotten use to them. Compare to other Zippers or other brands. I have one on order and was just wondering if I should make any changes.

Guys really seem to like them but I've heard surprising little about them on trad sites or on the Zipper website. What I've heard has been very good though

Bought one at Denton Hill. Fast, smooth and quiet. As of now it is my go to bow. It grows on you
The bow is 48lbs. at 28 and loves 1916s with 125 heads.

Have set of z4 limbs on a vpa 15 in riser, absolutely love them, ive had all high end limbs past year and like many but these are my favorite all around ,super stable ,fast and quiet.real smooth too,so nice I ordered a sxt with a set few weeks ago to try them on a bolt down setup..speed wise my ilf shoots 9gpp at 203fps at 30 in draw

That is saying a mouth full Breathn. I know I talked to you a couple times in the spring and you were trying different bows and limbs then. I also tried several and went out to Zipper and shot his line up. Of course the Z4s were to heavy that he had in stock so I could not really feel the limbs without wanting to just shoot. That is why I am asking others experience's. Still would like to hear about set ups and tuning.

I'm on the list for some also...anxious to hear also how they compare to the Evolution limbs.

ed cowden

I only spent around a hour shooting with Bill and I did like the Evolution limbs. A all wood core and carbon half breed. The weights were more to my liking and the Z4s were a little heavy but did feel just as smooth but I did not shoot as well. To much weight. And I was just trying to feel the limbs and hear how quiet they were.

Shot mine for the first time on Friday. WOW !! 60" 61@28 a rocket launcher for sure. All I did to tune it was twist the string a doz. times and brought the nock point down an 1/8th .Very quiet for a recurve .I have been shooting longbows since 1990 and this recurve right now has me excited !!

I currently have a sxt with the z4 on order and cannot wait for it to be done lol. I will say that the draw is unbelievably smooth and the stability of the limbs are incredible a lot of time has been put into the design. I don't see how you could go wrong from what I have seen or heard but am surprised their isn't more talk about them.

Ok now I'm confused. The bow I bought has carbon back and belly with foam core. are these Z4 or E4?    thanks in advance.

zipper bowss

Z4, Carlo. They are made by Zipper and are the 4th version of that limb. That is how the name came about. Not very creative but it serves the purpose.    :D

These limbs have become so popular that we currently do not have any other of our recurve limbs on order. The Z4 has taken over our recurve orders.

The Z4 are the best recurve limb I have ever shot without a doubt !! As you can see by my signature line, I'm a big fan of Bill's bows. I currently own 2 SXT's with the exact same specs. One bow has Evolution limbs, and the other Z4. The Evolution are no slouch in the performance department, but the Z4 are a major advancement.

To me it's not just about the performance gain. Even though they are pretty darn quick !!!   :D    These limbs have such a smooth draw cycle to them.
It almost feels as though they have a letoff built into them. And I'm not the first person to mention that. Very quiet and absolutely zero hand shock. Been shooting mine for a number of months now, and  still haven't found anything to dislike about them.
