I have eaten as much sardines, Spam, and Vienna sausage as anybody here. The only problem is that it always gave me gas. Not a problem on a dove shoot or in a duck blind, but it was not a good thing on a deer stand. Now, though, I can't eat meat so that problem is solved. All in all my favorite was a chocolate candy bar.

Hides your sent also. Can't go camping with out spam.
I like sardines in oil also.  Some years ago, I was backpacking with my wife and opened a tin of sardines on the first day of a two week backpacking trip.  I accidentally dribbled some of the oil on my pants, which gave me a typically sardiney odor for the rest of the trip.  My wife was afraid for the rest of the trip that I would attract bears, and she didn't like the fishy smell in the tent at night.  One would think that a person could mention these things once and then be done with it.  But being a woman, of course, she felt compelled to mention it every time it occurred to her for the rest of the trip, which was many, many times.

Nantahala Nut

Summer sausage and cheese wrapped in a tortilla.  When I was on the Appalachian Trail that was my go to lunch.  Jerky is the king of backwoods snacking though.

Blackhawk

On a two week drop camp to Alaskas for caribou, my hunting partner was responsible for the food...and all he brought was SPAM.  He was from Hawaii and I have since found out whcy...Hawaii is the #1 for spam consumption.

It was a long 2 weeks as I spent a lot of time fishing for my dinner.
