Looking for the aluminum footing size for easton axis traditional 500's and gold tip kinetic hunter 400's.  Can't seem to find a straight answer on what sizes I need. Thanks!

Paul Cousineau

Whenever I need to figure a new size for a new or different carbon, I use a calipers or micrometer to measure the carbon shaft OD. Then I go on google and find a chart that lists the ID of the Easton aluminum shafts. I pick the aluminum with the ID that is the closest to the carbon OD without being the same size or under. You'll probably want to be around .005-.010 bigger.

I realize that may not be the straight answer you were looking for, but I have found that to be the best way. In past I found out the hard way that just because someone says you need X size doesn't get you the right size at all.

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

2020 or 2018 should work on the axis, was a 2018 on the beman mfx 400 & 2020 on the 500's, should be the same for the axis.
