I love trying new set ups with my bow.  I have been shooting 5/16 carbons for years with great results.  Thinking of trying some small diameter Axis 9/32 shafts.  Do these act stiffer, weaker, or about the same as the standard diameter?  Thanks!

I just got some 500 spine beeman centershots.  Slightly smaller than the 500 spine gold tip traditionals I was using.  They are a bit stiffer but I do not have a spine tester.  All my findings are from tuning.

They'll ride closer to the center of the bow. That will make them behave dynamically stiffer vis-à-vis a 5/16-inch diameter shaft, but probably not enough to notice.  May also need to lower your nock point a tad.  Other than that, pretty much the same. I shoot them interchangeably, but prefer skinny carbons for hunting for their greater penetration potential.

a tad stiffer, but overall I find they tune easier.  My favorite arrows are either Beman MFX, Centershots or Easton Axis Trads.  All three very durable as well.

Love skinny shafts.  Find them easier to tune.  I have been using Beman ICS Hunters but reentry bought some Beman Center Shots 500 spine.

Thanks guys!  Been shooting ICS Hunters.

I love my Easton axis traditionals. Plan to continue to use them for a long time

Axis needs to turn the new 260s into traditional.

I have a long draw, 31", I went from a 33" 5\\16" .351 spine arrow being too weak to a smaller diameter .400 spine arrow being good. In this case it was a GT Kinetic, don't know the exact diameter. So yeah, I'd say they will act stiffer!!!!!

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

I shot CX Heritage for years and switched to axis traditionals, which I did find to be a little stiffer. I went up 25gr on the point and all was well. I recently started shooting FMJ's and like them better than anything!
