I know the maker is gone that made these. However I am making my wife a set of leather archery accessories for her birthday and would like the brass hardware used in these armguards or something very similar for her guard. Where can I get this type of hardware for the shock cord straps?

You might check knife supply companies. There are similar ones used in bowie sheaths.

Just a note. This guy is not gone. So be mindful he is still doing work just on a smaller scale I am told. This hardware was made as a proprietary item for that business. I know there are sheath clasps that are similar though.

Interesting. I thought he was no longer in business. If anyone has his contact information, I'd be interested in getting in touch with him about possibly picking up a set of studs from him for my wife's set. I prefer antler crowns on my stuff but she wants it to be as clean looking as possible and his studs were the cleanest option I've ever seen.

I have some buttons that will work, just these are a little classier looking than the plain ole brass button studs. Also the design of them is optimized to hold the shock cord better. I may have to use a plain button if I can't locate something like these.

Yea, Scott is a master craftsman for certain. My skills can't even approach his level of craftsmanship but me doing it myself means something to Katy that can't be bought.

Here are some of my suppliers:
www.springfieldleather.com
www.buckleguy.com

At Abbey, look for Sam Brown studs.

Good luck. PM me if you don't find what you're looking for.

Tandy has brass lacing hooks, but the rivet pin that holds them in place is a bit thin. I haven't had one fail, but would also like to find a source for heavier hooks and fasteners. Also, the old, mil-spec snaps have eluded me. If anyone has a source for either of these, I'd love to have it.

In addition to the other sites I posted above, here is one of my snap fastener suppliers that may have what you are looking for:

nleroux2, actually, your second supplier above has what I've been looking for.

I appreciate you posting your suppliers. Guess I don't get around much   :)
