...seems like the potential for a match made in heaven! Anybody who trims aluminum shafts to length and is left with small pieces of shaft material typically destined for the garbage can, while us who foot carbon shafts with aluminum footings are usually on the hunt for just such pieces and would be willing to pay for them. Is there a way to connect the 2 groups?

I for one am looking for some 1.5-2" sections of 2219 to fit over my Powerflight 300s. Anyone have extras? I'm sure there are many more matches to be made. I even have some 2213's if anyone is in need. Kind of like internet dating; I can hear the birds singing and see the clouds parting...

I have a bunch of aluminum cutoffs.  I don't foot shafts, but I have 2016s, 2018s, 1918s and maybe a few others.

I'll pay for some 1916s.... Pieces, half shafts, whole, dried /wet blood on them  , whatever .. Just don't need a dozen( or half)  of them

Roadkill

They can also be used to "foot" the nock end.  Use your burring tool to taper them before apply to teh shaft.  Those almost hoods can be prevented or sometimes reapired.

I have sent out many cut offs at no charge except the request for postage costs.  For some reason I rarely got those back so I quit sending them out.

One guy asked if I still wanted the postage after he got the cutoffs.  I didn't even honor that with a response.

I know that is not the answer you guys are looking for but maybe that is why others don't do it any more.  I know it is only a couple of dollars but those add up.

PistolPete

Don't blame you for that at all, Jon. Common.

I have a bunch Pete. PM me your address and I will hook you up.

hvyhitter

I bag mine up and put them on my trade blanket at trad shoots...... usually 5 bucks for a bag of 12..........

I have some 2016 pieces I can part with. I'm actually looking for pieces of carbon shaft to use as slices that fit tightly inside 2016 shafts. What do you have?

I know what you guys mean, I've been going to local archery shops looking for busted up 2413 for my arrow dynamics. Really don't wanna buy a half dozen arrows just to cut them up.

I do have other aluminum shafts, will have to look at sizes but would be more than willing to trade if I have a size someone needs
