Been trying to learn gap, starting to get a better feel for it. But my arrows are always left of my poa. They are spined for my draw weight, but I left them full length. My bow is not cut to center. What could be the cause of my arrows going left?

AZ_Longbow

Did you bare shaft? How is your form?

BHTGdogs

I didn't bare shafts as I don't have the stuff to make my arrows anymore. So they are fetched I did have to raise my nock point. But they fly like darts and group well. I've never had a problem hitting left or right. It's up and down where my problems usually are.

Assuming you are right handed , could be that you are lifting your head .
Only one of many possibilities .

No I think it's a shafts issue mixed with I've never shot a bow not cut to center or past

BHTGdogs

I'm not sure how to measure the cut but the way I did it puts it at a little less than 1/4" before center

Stump73

Do you have a broadhead the same gr as field points? You could shoot fletched shaft with fp and one with bh to see if they group tight with one another.

Then you wont have to remove fletching.

Prety sure its a weak spine if your form is good. What weight tip you using? And can you try lighter?

At what distances? Poundage of bow at your draw? What are the arrows? A lot of this info could be useful to help.

You said hitting left, I'd think your arrows are too stiff
(if right handed)

Is this the 110#er being shot?

katman

If they are flying well and group good form is probably ok. Tune may be off. You might try closing your stance a little. We all have different facial structures so you may need to decrease center shot some, a thinner or softer side plate, assuming RH shooter.
shoot straight shoot often

If the arrows are hitting left, it would seem they should be a little softer spined. I noticed a huge difference in POI with my one longbow that was not cut to/past center. I had to go almost 2 spines softer to get it hitting where I wanted. You siad you haven't bareshafted it, and you don't give any specifics on the arrow, but unless you are already really heavy up front it would be very easy to add some more point weight to see if that brings the POI back to the right. I'd say "overdo it" if possible. If you can add enough weight to get them hitting too far to the right, you will have a good idea what weight up front will put it center.

If they are aluminum or carbon, change points around (more, and less) and see if that does anything, then take that info and run with it.

57# draw at my draw length. Arrows are 32" 55/60 spine cedars, with 160 grain tip. I found a weaker shafts I'm going to try. But I think the problem is I'm already too weak. I've had several people say I was weak and several say stiff. So at this point I'm lost.

BHTGdogs

Also that's 57 @ 28 and I'm a righty.

Bjorn

It sounds 'weak' on paper and 'stiff' when shooting. You either need to pull off the feathers on one shaft or shorten by one inch-if you can- and see what happens.
You said the shafts are full length but I see no reference to your draw length.

Krex1010

Could it possibly be an issue with sight picture? If I shoot with the bow too straight (vertically) my arrows group to the left. When I cant the bow and get my eyes more over the arrow they center up better. I'm no expert and I may be compensating for tuning issues, but that's one thing I've noticed. Gaping is aiming so dominant eye right over the arrow is important right?

BHTGdogs

OK I tried something else and it brought my arrows in more. When gapping instead of concentrating on the point I concentrate on the spot and use my gap out of my peripheral. Also my draw is 28"
