Thank you for not buying my arrows! Bareshafting results

I have been collecting older AFC/Beman and the Cabelas SST super skinny shafts for years. I love the way they shoot and penetrate. They are a fairly heavy shaft and tough as nails. I usually shot the 220 or 2200 style. I have also been buying some 230 and 2300 size. They are stiffer so I have not shot them.
I had a bunch of 2300 that I thought were going to be too stiff for me because some of them were pretty short. So i listed them for sale on here for 30 shafts and components for $100. I didnt get a single response.
I recently bought a used Habu that is a few lbs heavier than I usually shoot and it is also cut 1/8 past center. Which is further than the bows I have been building and shooting.
I tried shooting a few bareshafts with them and kept cutting off length as I went. When I bareshaft I simply shoot a single shaft and read the flight results and how it hits the target. I know I want a 250 gn head so I start long knowing it will be weak and trim after a few shots of showing weak. It usually takes a few days to nail down what length I need as it is hard to maintain focus and good crisp releases and you sometimes get whacky results.
It takes awhile but the results are worth it in the end. I fletched up some arrows yesterday and did 11 out of the 12 I cut. I decided to leave one bare to see how it grouped with the fletched shafts, and to confirm if I cut them the right length.?
These are my first 2 groups of 3 fletched and the one bare. Only 17 yards in basement but I'm happy, also happy no one bought these shafts before I realized they were gonna work for me. They ended up 561 gns

Congrats on finding the right set of sticks.Everything happens for a reason,hence your non sale of said sticks.

and here I thought I was the only one to shoot arrow shafts that old!!
I still shoot the original beaman hunters and carbon flash shafts
they are waaaaaay out of date but there ain't hardly a deer that can stop them!

Carbonflyr  those are all afc 2300.. all were different color writing  on them. White,green,some orange and some red and camo.i stripped all the vanes nocks and points as they looked kind of rough when I bought them off ****..
Acetone the writing off and cleaned them up, put a 10 inch one stringer. Wrap and fetched them up. Should last another 15 yrs lol

Roger I bought that Habu because I had always  wanted to try one and you never see them lefty for sale. I paid a fair price so I figured I would be able to try one and then move it fairly quickly. I honestly have never shot as accurately  with a bow as I do it. I have no plans on getting rid of this one now.
