I'm shooting 30.5" BOP Easton 400s and 29" BOP Beman 500s with my ACS CX longbow and will very likely be shooting the same arrows with my Crow Creek Black Feather.  I've footed the Easton Axis arrows with 1.25" sections of Easton XX75 1916 camo arrows.  I haven't shot them yet, but will this weekend.

I will very likely foot the two dozen Beman MFX arrows I have with the 1.25" sections of 1916, too.  I want to reinforce the shoulder of the HIT carbon arrows as I don't care for the exposed shoulder with the insert being recessed a half inch, or so.

Now there's a coinkydink. I've just been eyeing up an old 1916 to foot my 400 MFXs.
Did you have to open the alloys up at all to make them fit? I tried poking a Beman into the open end of a 1916 & it was a very, very tight fit. It kinda put me off a little that it was so tight. How did you go about it?

robtatto: If you use some gentle heat on the aluminum it will expand enough to go on nice and easy. Before installing clean the area well and out some epoxy on the shaft before you install the footing.

2016's with JB Weld work great on my MFX's. They are tight with the more viscous JB Weld.

The 1916s are a very smooth fit for my Axis 400s and  I'm assuming they will be for the MFX 500s.  I haven't tried sliding them onto the MFX shafts yet, but I will tonight!  I used 2-part epoxy and the are as secure as can be.  The first test will be when I shoot them into a new, tight bag target!!

Use 2" of a 2020 for the Beman's...they'll be that much tougher...bombproof, really

Anybody have a couple 2020 shafts they'd be willing to sell me?    :)

Someone compiled a footing chart somewhere on here...anyone recall where to find that? Might be helpful to add the smaller axis type arrows.

I have some that I can spare Bill.  I have the Legacy 2020 that somewhat matches the beman classics (color pattern).
