i'd like to ask,

is it any good??

I purchased a RH 50lb. Mountaineer two years ago and loved it. Easy to shoot, smooth, a bit of hand shock (but not at all unpleasant), not blazing fast, but shoots a surprising array of different spines and weights accurately. I currently have two bows for sale. one is the Mountaineer and the other a Browning Wasp. Send a PM if interested.

I've shot a few different ones and they're pretty nice for they type of bow it is.  If I was more into longbows, it would probably excite me more.  Didn't Martin/Howatt stop making those about a year or two ago?

Nice bow, mild refelex deflex, nice zebra wood riser, but I really like my Tsunami.

I like my 55lb Mountaineer ML14. I bought it used but it was in new condition a few years ago. It is now my go to bow if I'm not playing with one of my others. I didn't like it for a couple of years after I got it as it was hard to tune out the noise and hand shock. Me thinks that was why the previous owner parted with it as at that time there were less then 50 arrows shot through it. When I switched to carbons and heavier arrows (700gr) all noise & shock went away. It shoots well and now is a pleasure to hunt with.

deadpool - Its taken lots of small game. Mainly grouse, ptarmingan & squirrels. Its been after moose & bou but so far I haven't connected with that bow. Maybe winter bou in Nov if I choose to take it. I jump between  several bows depending on mood. Which reminds me that it may go with me after grouse this afternoon if the snow backs off.
