Usually under, but... this year I bought a leafy wear jacket. I wore it over so my string would not get hung up in it..... it worked just fine!

Good luck and God bless,

I always wear mine under....even in the warmer weather I will put a long sleeve t-shirt over the harness.

Over. Plus I use the bino straps  this way

On a side note. I don't understand  why jackets don't come with a 2 inch skit in the middle of shoulder up high? Then the strap could feed through and no issues with the hanging problem. I keep saying I'm going to cut a few jackets and have my buddies wife sew around the slit. Maybe I would wear it under then

Same as was mentioned above. Over walk-in layer but covered more or less depending upon temperature as I settle in.

If it is too warm for vest or jacket it is out. When it gets cooler it is under my outer layers. I too wear a Asbel  hooded jacket
Surprisingly The hood still works fine with the strap coming out

Starts out on top of my "walk-in" clothes, but becomes under when I put on my zip up jacket or vest.

I wear a harness vest, always over every thing else except when gun season rolls in. Then I put the required orange vest on top. Some times it seems the orange is largely lost when I put my haversack and quiver on to walk in or out of the woods.

Over.  The harness is the last item I put on.  This works for me.

Usually wear mine over. In colder weather I find it helps keep additional layers from getting in the way of bowstring. Also I get a cold draft on my neck if it is under my jacket.

This is the same thing i have been thinking myself, I hate my harness but wear it. I don't like the vest kind because I like to wear the cammo or plaid I like not what the manufactures like. so with this said i wear mine over for now.

If you know a seamstress, making a large"buttonhole" in the back midway between the shoulder blades for your attachment strap to pass through gives good alignment for the harness. Many coats and parkas have a seam at that level for the shoulder yoke, so a bit of a flap can be fashioned out of the seam material.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

Under my second layer. I usually wear a vest, than a camo coat over everything. I wear the harness under the vest.
