I made up a flemish string for my 35# pse wolverine longbow but instead of going with ten strands i went with eight strands of b55. Figured it would fit the smaller nocks i shoot better so i won't have to spread them to fit the big string i had on it. The nocks indeed fit better and it looks and shoots great. Seems like most don't shoot under 10 strands from 40# and up. I actually draw the bow to 29" and am wondering if I'm putting the bow or myself at risk? Does anyone else shoot b50 or b55 that's not severely over built? Should i go ahead and make a ten strand string and not worry about it? Also I'm shooting arrows that are 9.2gpp.

8 will be strong enough.  You'll just get more stretch/creep and less durability.
