I am home after 5 days in the Dorchester marches . I hope I learned something . Olney  time well tell .I know now that I do not enjoy  hunting in the hot weather . I saw Sika and whitetall driving to and from my hunting areas . I heard and saw Sika from my stands ,but no shots . It was the high 80 too 90 in the afternoons , and 70+ most AM . I got home last night . Tomorrow I am headed for the NY Adirondacks. The weather forecast is for highs of 50-60° and lows 30- 40° . I we'll be scouting for Whitetail and hunting bear .I am looking forward to the cool weather hunting .

Hi.  I was on Taylers Island on a lease that borders the far western end of Blackwater . I had been down every month from March . I was getting good trail camera pic. up to the end of July , then nothing . My stand is on dry land 50 yd. from the frag , I think I should have been in the frag . My stand is 1 1/2 mi. from the car . Tuesday night at 5:00 -5:30 I saw 2 hinds way out in the frag in front of me than 1 more south of me . I jumped , and had them chirping at me when trying too get into the stand sight in the dark .Monday night at a different stand I had one chirping at me 15 yd . It was only 1-2 steps from my shooting lane .I will be back down in October . Good luck to you .
