Okay I'm shooting Easton aftermath arrows with the 75 gr brass insert.  How much does the exta length of the insert stiffen the arrow?  Would I get the same arrow flight with say a 50 gr insert and a 200 gr point as i would a 75 gr insert and 175 point?

Gooserbat I don't consider myself a arrow guru but like every one I do have a opinion.    :)

The length of the insert  in this example will not have any noticeable effect on the spine.... A 75 grain insert is not exceptionally long.

If you are adding more weight up front than you normally shoot  with any of the combinations  you mentioned  it will weaken the spine.

With a tuned arrow I do not think you would notice much difference in flight between the combinations.

The insert won't affect the arrow spine. It's not long enough.
With 250gr up front the arrow will fly the same.

Thank you for the replies.
