Just wondered if anyone has done it? I do it when I mess up a feather while  shooting it. If I was using glue I couldn't do it. Th only part you have to worry about is the glue on the ends but that came off using my nails and picked it off. Yeah you may lose some feathers by tearing them but at leat you can save most for reuse.
sorry if miss spelled anyhting on pain meds from trying to pass kidney stones.

A sharp thin knife will peel them off nicely.  Even if there is till some fletch tape on the base, a second layer works fine.  No sense wasting good feathers  :)

Do it all the time. Put feather back in fletching clamp and lift old tape up gently with exacto razor knife. Sometimes the tape still breaks but it can still be removed. I reuse them on practice arrows only.
