What is the effect on dynamic spine if you add weight to the nock end of an arrow for instance Gold Tip? Thanks term
Still looking for something I might of forgot.

JRY309

It will stiffen the spine adding weight to nock end.

stujay

Yep, weight on the nock end will stiffen the spine. It's the converse of adding weight to the tip end which weakens the spine.

Flying Dutchman

Yup, it stiffens the spine. I have been there, but I don't like the results. It did affect my arrow flight. In stead of adding weight to the nock, I shorten my shafts.
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

SBD strings on all, what else?

JimB

It will not only stiffen the dynamic spine but X amount of weight on the nock end has more influence than the same amount of weight on the front. This is due to more distance behind the balance point than forward of it.
