I was  here months ago but sold my recurve and focused on a different site where compounds are the dominant topic.  I have to say I really missed shooting a trad bow, saw a recurve shooter last week at the hay bales and went out that day and bought one !!!
I bought  a Sage take down with 55lb limbs(please contain your excitement), Easton trad arrows and a finger tab. I'll upload pics and specs of my equipment at a later time. I've been shooting the Simmons 165 landsharks into my block target and I'm impressed, not only with my set up but how quickly it all came back to me and can group nicely at 20 yards.
I'm am going to work hard with it over the next month and maybe work this funnel in the fall, 15yards is about the max distance across to catch em going to bed in the early AM.
I'd like to buy a top shelf bow at some point in the near future, I've seen some real art pieces in these forums...

Welcome back from the dark side   ;)
...because bow hunting always involves the same essentials. One hunter. One arrow. One animal. -Don Thomas

Welcome back old friend!!

Tom

Welcome back indeed, just keeps pulling at you, unlike other equipment.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Interested in what you think about that Sage bow. How about a quick review?
