Will my granddaughter get her St Jude's bow?

I bought a Maddog bow on the St Jude's auction (thank you Guru) for my 7 year-old granddaughter.

I was worried it might not get here in time for a birthday party, but it came in today. The birthday is Saturday.

Trouble is, Jordan may have to go find her own bow. I tried it today with the arrows Curt sent and it shoots better than all of mine   :)   I may have to keep this one for myself!

It's 25# @ 25", so should be around 12# @ her draw length. Bow looks like new and once I got the knack of anchoring on the front of my cheekbone, SHE SHOOTS. These were groups 4 and 5 of five.

Me too. I can't wait for Saturday. She has her own .22LR, but has never shot a bow. Figure we gotta fix that ASAP.

Does she have her own custom knife from you yet?

Bladepeek

Shhhh. She's not supposed to know about that. Her dad already has an order in for Pappa Bear, Momma Bear and Baby Bear sized knives. All identical except for size.

I just finished a set of steak knives for my older son. The younger son's order is up next.

My son took a couple of videos, but I don't have them up yet. I believe he posted them on Facebook, but I try real hard to stay away from Facebook. Seems like everybody is rushing to make their whole lives available to everyone on line. Guess I'm a bit of a recluse?

Anyway, I will get pictures up.

We didn't get a chance to do anything at all with it Saturday. We had somewhere near 36 people here, the kids were all busy with a standup paddle board and skateboard and swimming and......

Sunday morning we went up to my shop and shot it a bit before they left for home. First time she ever had a bow in her hands and three people telling her how to do it. She made a couple of good shots and got all excited, but her arms were so tired from the paddle boarding on Saturday, she had trouble holding that little bow up, let alone drawing it.

She will be staying with us for a week in August and her two projects (which she is very excited about) are to learn to shoot her new bow and she wants to build her daddy a knife in my shop after she saw the forge and grinder. She has no idea I'm already working on the 3-knife set for her Mom, Dad and her. I will let her help me finishing her dad's and then get Mom and Dad to help on hers and they can all tell each other they made knives for each other.

You're not a recluse for not wanting the world in your bizness! I won't do those social media sites either!

She'll get there. Great surprise on the knives! That is just too cool.

C'mon august, huh, grandpa!  :)  :)  :)
