To add to the deluge of suggestions, Andy at Bezaleel Bow Works also makes an ILF riser, to which you could add hybrid-style limbs (Centaur, Dryad, Border).

Just got an email a few days ago that mine should be finished in about two weeks! Will post pics when I receive it.

Rock 'N Bow

Just got my Fedora Xtreme hybrid today. It has all the positives of both recurves and longbows with none of the negatives. It practically shoots itself. Accurate and packs a heck of a punch.

Kirk at Bigfoot bows, Steve at Eaglewing, or Blackwidow would be my top three pick. I currently own a Widow PLX takedown and can't see myself getting rid of it. You can order any grip you like with both Kirk and Blackwidow (I'm sure Steve will as well just don't want to speak for someone I haven't actually talked to much).

JIm , As long as the customer communicated accurately what they want and we work out all the details I will build any grip anyone wants.

God bless and Thanks, Steve

Had a similar quest myself-
Consider going another direction- a static recurve with a hybrid grip such as found on the Toelke whip. I had one made (Toelke SS recurve) and WOW! It feels like a longbow in the hand, is silent like a longbow at the shot and has the performance of a recurve. Also, it has a retro look that I like a lot. Worth looking into.

The Robertson Raven is a sweet bow.

Orion

Joe2:  Lots more bows out there in the configuration you're considering than you thought, right?  Might as well add my preference as well -- A&H and Morrison Shawnee. Both a bit pricey, but can get good deals on used bows.

thanks gang for all the feedback

Take a look at our Cyclone longbow. This bow is doing great things in both the hunting field and IBO 3D's. Check us out on our website or facebook.
