Anyone use a AllPredatorCalls.com ghille? Any other recommendations?

I have one of the Kill Suits.  It's a lot lighter and more compact.

When I was hunting with my compound I used Natural Gear 3D camo. Got pretty darn close to a couple of bulls using it and will probably use this year with my recurve. It's light weight and packs up easy for those long hikes.

I use and like the All Predator Calls Sapper suit.

Its very light weight, has a nice hood and face mask.

Reasonable at around $60.

No pants to snag burrs on, just a long coat.

Rolls up really small in its little bag.

Beaunaro that's the suit I was interested in and for the reasons you like it. Always enjoyed tree hunting and I love the mobility of ground hunting and knew someday I would be more "Grounded" not just because of age but being able to hunt in areas I always dreamed of but no trees or public ground where hanging and removing stands each days a pain. Trad hunting for me is having the animal closer the better even if it is near impossible to get a decent shot. Always be a wool guy but have finally decided to give a ghille a try. Would love to hear some of you guys experiences because I'm really pumped about hunting ground level this year.

That is what I have on in my avatar . Love it and the price is fair .

I seem to have problems with string clearance when I try to shoot with a ghillie suit on, has anyone else had this problem?

Dale, this is what I have been wondering about.  Don't you  folks that hunt with the ghille type suits run into trouble with your bow strings? I really like the way the suites blend and disappear into the surroundings.

Well i just gave 3 different kinds of ghillie suits a try on turkeys last month. Here was my findings... The string style makes you invisible, and was fine for just sitting in one spot.... but trying to walk through brush in one of those is like having velcro all over your body.... You catch on every little thing.

The leafy cut out type works very well if there isn't any wind. It was much easier to get through brush without sticking to everything. but in the wind those little leaves sewn on the netting fluttered around too much for me... Scared off turkeys from 50 yards in the wind.

The strip type like the Kill suit has met all conditions a lot better in my opinion.....i'm not sure of the brand i used, but it looked very similar to the kill suit with the strips. I'd buy one....

The next turkey hunting i do in a ghillie suit, i'm going to use a camouflage bow to go with it.
Those damn birds got good eyes!

some trimming has to be done for string clearance.
inside of arm and on upper chest.

no matter wich suite you choose.

For string clearance, when I purchased one of the $60 ghillies I just cut the left sleeve off just above the elbow. I also cut the legs off just below the knees and now it doesnt pick up near the twigs and leaves it used to. It works for me, but I dont think I would have been able to force myself to do that to a more expensive ghillie suit.

I have three of the Kill Suits (I got the light wieght mesh type) and I love them.  way better then the standard jute for all the reasons mentioned above.
