Does anyone have any experience with vias camo for early season in the Mountains?  Does the camo blend in pretty good? How do the sizes fit are they  pretty similar to S, M and L?   I am thinking about getting some for early Sept elk season.  Thanks for any input.  Ken

I am also thinking about getting some for early season Elk. I think I would get the more green version as I like the camo a bit better. I will be interested to see about the sizing also. I do not think I would like the form fitting thing for the top at least... I'll be watching.

I bought the guide jacket and pants for my 20 year old son; the XL fits his 6' 195 lb frame perfectly with room to grow in all directions. I take the Sitka XL-(5'9" and 210) but could not even get close to putting on the Kuiu jacket or pants-not even close!  If you resemble a fire hydrant and you have forearms, better do some homework on the sizing. The quality and workmanship of the Kuiu garments is outstanding in every way.

All my kuiu gear is the vias camo.  Early September elk hunt in Colorado several years ago I had a 5x5 come in quiet and caught me sitting in an open area on a log.  Looked right through me.  Camo is overrated but I'm a believer in the high contrast open patterns like predator, asat, and vias.
As far as the sizing... Good luck!  I bought two complete sets in different sizes at the same time, then mixed and matched sizes that felt best, returning the others.
I've also heard that the sizing has changed now that its no longer sewn in Canada, so who knows.

I just got off the phone with the KUIU rep last night- sizing is athletic. Meaning if your over weight, or oversized (big boned) it may not fit you correctly.

order a jacket or top or pants of something they have in stock, and try the fit. when you are talking about the $$ amount for this kind of gear it is worth the price of return shipping to make sure you get the right size.

If you go to Kuiu site, lots of forums on sizing, I think it fits pretty close to what you would normally see as S, M, L.  PM me your reg sizes and measurements if you need some help with sizing, I could likely help.
