So I found two pictures of me as a little kid, shooting a bow. I figured it was worth throwing up there for ya'll to critique my form!

I love the mask....thinking camo, even in the early stages.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Too good!!!!

I started a thread with the same exact title years ago...you should do a search....but it wasn't about me as a youngster...it was something a military guy did for TradGang.

You are lucky to have those pictures. I never had my parents take a picture of me with my first bow in 1955, a Ben Pearson longbow.

I have been meaning to get these pictures up for ya'll for quite a while now. I finally got a digital version of them. As for the facemask, I didn't figure there was any other way to shoot a bow! I mean, you have to get close to kill something!    :readit:

And Terry, I took the liberty of digging up that post for everyone's enjoyment...

Great pictures! No doubt it brings to mind a lot of great moments. I don't think I have ever had a picture of me shooting a bow, and I got started back in 1959.

That's cool. Not too sure the camera was invented when I was that age. If so there would have been a bull frog or a bunny in front of those arrows. (Grin)
I bet you terrorized the critters too though.

God bless, Steve

As often as I could, haha! I remember when I started counting down the days till I could legally shoot a big game animal...longest 6 years of my life.  :goldtooth:

Love it!  Is that Mt Sentinel blurred in the background of the 2nd picture?  The form looks good!
