I assume you are referring to a recurve???
If longbow mine likes 8 1/2"

I had one for a while. If I remember try somewhere between 7.5 and 8"

I have mine at 8-5/8"  at this moment an it's a 56 Lil Hoot ...If you want Lee's cell number to ask him personally what he sets them at I'll p.m. ya...
